This 4 July took a huge turn, only when the rapper, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, fashion designer and now presidential candidate Kanye West announced his intentions of taking over Donald Trump's position in a tweet declaring, "We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States."
This shouldn't come as a huge surprise to those who watched the MTV VMA's back in 2015when he stated his intentions after accepting his Video Vanguard award:
Kanye declared, "It ain't about me, it's about new ideas bro people with ideas people who believe in truth. and yes, as you probably could've guessed by this moment I have decided in 2020 to run for president."
It doesn't end here. No sooner had Kanye made his announcement, the tech pioneer Elon Musk responded saying: "You have my full support!"
The 2020 presidential election is taking place on 3 November 2020. Does Kanye have your vote?
