It seems Kim Kardashian's hopes of becoming the next First Lady have been dashed. Kanye West’s presidential campaign has been running on fumes for quite some time, and now the rapper will likely be removed from the presidential ballot in his home state.
Kanye West will also not be permitted on the New Jersey ballot due to faulty signatures. His ‘campaign’ withdraws petition. https://t.co/HoIgwv9XnA #KanyeWest #Election2020— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) August 9, 2020
The news comes after it was revealed that more than half of the signatures Kanye’s team submitted in his nomination papers were deemed invalid. And by “invalid”, we mean he managed to procure signatures from "Mickey Mouse”, Vermont Senator "Bernie Sanders”, and two from "Kanye West”.
As if that wasn’t already concerning (read: hilarious) enough, a number of individuals also came forward saying they were duped into signing the rapper's papers (in their defence, he is pretty convincing).
Two states declaring #KanyeWest inelligible to be on #POTUS ballot due to faulty signatures could open him up to an #ElectionFraud investigation.
I would imagine other states where reported GOP operatives assisted him to get on the ballot will soon be reviewing. #Election2020— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) August 9, 2020
White House correspondent April Ryan suggests the presidential hopeful has potentially landed himself in deep water as the “faulty signatures could open him up to an #ElectionFraud investigation”. If he’s found guilty he could receive a sentence of 0–21 months in prison.
