Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced that they're changing the way they use Instagram

With the season of giving now over, Prince Harry and Meghan are proving to us that kindness doesn’t actually have to be seasonal.

As part of their ‘Happy New Year’ wish to their 10 million followers on Instagram, the royals expressed support for Good News Movement, an Instagram account dedicated to sharing positive news from across the globe.

"Happy New Year! For 2020 we will be continuing our tradition of highlighting accounts that inspire, and that remind us of all the good that is happening in the world,” the caption read.

This isn’t the first time the royals have shared movements that are close to their hearts. They’ve used their account to highlight collections of Instagram accounts each month in order to raise awareness around certain causes, such as for the environment. In 2020, however, they’re changing it up by “focusing on just one account each month."

And what better way to start off the new year than by promoting joy. The caption continued, "For January, we would like to shine a spotlight on @goodnews_movement. This journalist run-page covers and celebrates acts of kindness and good news in our global community. We hope it brings you joy!"
