Fresh from his tour of Pakistan, Prince William has announced that he is set to head east once again.
Taking to Twitter, Kensington Palace revealed that the Duke of Cambridge will visit the Middle East this time round, taking in Kuwait and Oman, “at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office”.
The account also revealed that the British royal will do so between Sunday 1 December and Wednesday 4 December.
While Kate’s name isn’t mentioned, the tweet did stipulate that mode details will be announced in due course so the Duchess could be accompanying him.
This isn’t the first time a British royal has visited the region on official business. In 2016, Prince Charles visited both Kuwait and Oman during a three-day tour of the Gulf.
And in 2010, Queen Elizabeth visited Oman with her husband Prince Philip. The queen also visited Oman in 1979, arriving on board the yacht Britannia.
