Stars came out to pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld's white shirt

Last night in Paris, the Karl Lagerfeld Maison was transformed into a private gallery to showcase exclusive designs on the classical white shirt, before they head on a traveling exhibition to Karl Lagerfeld stores worldwide. 

Seven shirts have been recreated 77 times and will be available from tomorrow for €777 per piece on KARL.COM and Farfetch.com. Proceeds will be donated to the “Sauver la Vie” charity initiative for medical research at the Paris Descartes University.

Participants included Sarah Andelman, Louise Bourgoin, Ingie Chalhoub, Tiffany Cooper, Caro Daur, Lou Doillon, Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid, Winnie Harlow, Eva Herzigová, Davika Hoorne, Xu Jing, Afef Jnifen, Away Lee, Diala Makki, Helen Mirren, Olivia Palermo, Soo Joo Park, Elena Perminova, Holli Rogers, Sati Spivakova, Nadja Swarovski, Amber Valletta, Yoni Alter, Lil Buck, ILOVEDUST, Endless, Baptiste Giabiconi, Lewis Hamilton, Hun Kim, Simone Legno, Alton Mason, Alessandro Michele, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kiddy Smile, Steven Wilson, The KARL LAGERFELD Team and Choupette.

The star-studded guestlist included Anna Wintour, Takashi Murakami, Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Karlie Kloss, Alton Mason, Amber Valletta, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, Lucky Blue Smith, Caro Daur, Soo Joo Park, Saskia de Brauw, Baptiste Giabiconi, Suzy Menkes, Eva Herzigová, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Ingie Chalhoub, Lil Buck, Endless, Sarah Andelman, Sebastien Jondeau, Devon Windsor, Larry and Laurent Bourgeois (“The Twins”), Nieves Álvarez, Diala Makki, Tiffany Cooper, Hyunji Shin, Elena Perminova, Davika Hoorne, Holli Rogers, Kiddy Smile and the project’s curator Carine Roitfeld.

Customers are also invited to experience the exhibition, which will travel in parts to select Karl Lagerfeld stores worldwide. They can also enjoy a complimentary service to customise their own white shirt, with a selection of Karl’s most iconic quotes and sketches.
