Now that we've witnessed the overwheling success of Taylor Swift's pastel coloured, whimsical, and romantically acclaimed Lover album, it is safe to say that she is more of a lover than a fighter. The singer-songwriter beaitifully depicted what it means to really be in love in her seventh studio album, the successor to 2017’s Reputation, which in contrast, was an aggressive and hostile record that caught everyone off-guard.
Lover's pastel mood board went heavy with love letters, paper rings, and girly frills, something that we definitely missed from Taylor, following the huge success of her previous albums like 1989, Red, and Speak Now, all containing the damsel in distress vibe that the hitmaker portrays so well.
So, it didn't come as a surprise when Lover blasted in at number one at the Billboard 200 chart with the biggest week for any album since her last release, reputation, in 2017.
The heart-fluttering album earned an equivalent of 867,000 album units in the week ending on August 29th. According to Nielsen Music, almost 680,000 of those were pure album purchases, while the rest were downloads.
All of there combined helped Lover land the biggest sales week for any album since Swift's last release, Reputation, in 2017, which debuted with over 1.2 million sales.
The country-turned-pop singer is now tied with rapper, Eminem as the only artists to debut six different albums with at least 500,000 copies sold in a single week. But that too she surpassed and earned herself the title of the only singer to have four different albums, each sell a million copies in a single week.
With the sheer amount of good news showering the hitmaker, it must have been swept off her feet after hearing her title track 'Lover' sung by the man she once supported on tour.
Country singer, Keith Urban performed his version of Taylor's song at Puyallup Fairgrounds on Saturday night, and she was so thrilled, she posted a fan-taken image at the show on Twitter and effused about the tribute.
She wrote: "MY HEART EXPLODED INTO CONFETTI HEARTS THANK YOU."
Much like many of Swift's fans, Keith Urban was also wooed by the album. Keith made it very clear that he was a huge fan of the song upon its release last month, writing: "Huge shoutout today to @taylorswift13 on the SUPERB new single LOVER. When a song so exquisitely written becomes a record so gorgeously crafted I feel such a deep sense of gratitude for the 'art' of making music."

Much like the rest of her previous albums, Lover has a unique theme that perfectly embodies love, infatuation and desire. Though, many could say that this album itself presents more as one of Taylor's experimental take on music, the numbers and the charts can't deny it's reach to the rest of the world.
