The post-fashion week frenzy has officially kicked off and with it a deluge of coveted catwalk looks and editor-approved street style has flooded our streets and feeds, which is enough for even the best of us to want a wardrobe update. And where better to take style cues from than some of our very own region’s finest fashion influencers? Here’s what we’re learning from our sartorially savvy content creators.

Think '70s midi-skirts and pleats, please

If the miniskirt had a moment last year, this season, a bourgeois Seventies mood is the order of the day and it’s all about a longer hemline. A-line or pleated, a calf-skimming skirt is a real on-the-go heatwave-proof wardrobe weapon.

'Tis the season

When it comes to colours for when the weather is (hopefully) cooler, it's not always about black, navy or grey. Take cues from the classic colours of the season - think warm orange, camel, chocolate, beige... and forest green for those of us feeling adventurous.

Unleash your power blazer

‘Power suiting’ has a new meaning this season. Forget stiff, corporate connotations; laid-back silhouettes and voluminous luxe blazers (paired with wide-leg denim jeans or fluid skirts) are leading the way now.

Take neutral to the extreme in cream

The neutral tones that have dominated the past few seasons are here to stay, particularly when it comes to modest wear. And a nude number isn’t as intimidating as it sounds.

Seek out punchy pieces

One of the simplest ways to bring colour into your look is with a statement piece. Add intrigue and joy with bold jackets, strappy sandals, or a mini bag in a punchy palette of fun, colourful hues.
