As with every Dior show, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-Up, married the show’s beauty and fashion collections to create a colourful fun, fresh offering.
Joining the pro make-up artists backstage, Ralph Lteif tells us it’s all about the eyes this season, as he gives us the low-down on how to achieve the AW18 beauty look.
Step 1: “You can’t start anywhere without a good base, so begin by using a couple of drops of the Capture Youth Glow Booster serum to give your face a radiant complexion before applying any make-up.”
Step 2: “Using the new Diorskin Forever Undercover Foundation, apply only a small amount on the back of your hand. Then use a foundation brush or beauty blender to apply all over your face. What’s great about this product is that you only need a tiny amount to get that full coverage, yet with a natural finish. Use a foundation brush if you want more of a full coverage look and a beauty blender if you’re looking for something a bit lighter. Afterwards, use Diorskin Undercover Concealer, lightly dabbing underneath the eyes and anywhere that needs a little extra covering up. Finish off the face with some nice Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder to make your skin look fresh and luminous.”
Step 3: “Now for the eyes – the star of this look, and in my opinion, the show. The new Diorshow On Stage Liners are to die for. As a make-up artist, I really appreciate the wide variety of colours they come in. For the show, Peter used green, yellow, red, pink, blue and grey. Apply the same coloured liner on the upper and lower lash lines. Complete the look with the Diorshow Brow Styler (Bella’s favourite!) and Diorshow Bold Brow to give your brows a natural yet defined look.”
Step 4: “Since we want the emphasis to be on the eyes, we kept the lips plumped and simple using the Backstage Pro Lip Maximizer.”
