Bella Hadid has embraced this long-forgotten '90s beauty trend in a big way

Before the Internet was really a thing, there concept of viral trends on a global scale just didn't exist.

However, if you were a child or teen of the '90s, you'll probably remember that the beauty trend for pulling two pieces of hair out of your ponytail to frame your face was big. HUGE in fact.

And it seems Bella Hadid has been going through the archives and has started to emulate the beauty trend in a big way, because the supermodel has started posting several pictures of her wearing her hair just like we did in secondary school on her Instagram page.

Despite being born in 1996, and most definitely missing out on it first time round, Bella has been harking back to the '90s thanks to her slicked back do.

But this isn't the only '90s beauty look she's been sporting of late - in September she stormed the fashion week catwalks with golden blonde hair that didn't look that much different to our own experiments with at-home hair dye kits.

And she's also indicated a partiality to silver eyeshadow, lashings of kohl eyeliner and super pale lipsticks to boot. Bella being Bella, she gets away with our ghosts of beauty past. Just.

But for 2019, we think we’ll leave her to it.
