We're big fans of Marc Jacobs Beauty (we'll hold our hands up and say the brilliant names are as much a factor as anything. How Rouge! anyone?) - but we're even bigger fans of the wonderfully effervescent Rhea Jacobs, who also happens to be the brand's Beauty Ambassador. Digital Editor Olivia Phillips grabbed Rhea this week for a backseat face beat in honour of National Lipstick Day, which falls on 29 July.
To celebrate, we quite literally roadtested Marc’s new Enamoured Hydrating Gloss Sticks – no speedbump too high, no corner too treacherous. Rhea explained these new glosses are made for on-the-go girls, meaning that they can be applied sans mirror and on the move. Handy.
Rhea took us through her top three summer picks, which included Marc's - quite frankly - gigantic Omega bronzing palette. “It’s called the Omega ’cos it’s the best,” Rhea tells us of the coconut-scented bronzer to end all bronzers. The alpha and omega. We get it. Want to win it, alongside the two glosses we tried out in the brilliantly named Candy Bling and Mocha-Choco-Lata? Simply like and subscribe to our YouTube channel, commenting below the video with what you would rename the bronzer if you were in charge. We’re listening...
In the heat and humidity of the desert, both setting powder and spray are make-up bag essentials. Rhea explains that Marc’s Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder can be used on every skintone, taking unwanted shine away from rather, er, overheated faces but still allowing a little dewiness to come through. She finishes with the Recover Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist; a refreshing pick-me-up that smells like a tropical holiday. Sigh.
