When a party's so exclusive you need a password, you know you’re on the hautest guest list in town. The dress code was smart casual “with a peppery twist,” the password was ‘Pink Peppercorn,’ and the occasion was the Middle Eastern celebration of Twilly d’Hermès Eau Poivrée, the sassy sister fragrance to the original launched in 2017. A glittering pink corridor – where mocktails were handed to guests through a fringed curtain by mystery waitresses – led to the dance floor as the InterContinental Dubai Marina was transformed into a neon-pink night spot. The party’s peppery twist was inspired by Twilly d’Hermès Eau Poivrée’s ingredients of pink peppercorn, rose and patchouli, and guests – including the region’s mostrespected editors and influencers – dined on a menu of mini slowcooked short-rib tacos and pink peppercorn, jalapeños and rosewater cucumber gazpacho, created in a nod to the fragrance. The soundtrack to the evening – courtesy of DJs Novemberus, Liutik and MixedFeelings – included Kiss by Prince, Vogue by Madonna, Bad Girl by Donna Summer and I’m Coming Out by Diana Ross, and kept guests on the dance floor till the early hours.
