It’s a well known fact that women in Dubai are big on grooming. It’s a lesser known fact that I am not and for some reason that seems to take people by surprise. After seeing someone looking glam on the ‘gram you somewhat expect them not to have gnawed stubs in place of fingernails. You might even expect them to have blown out locks that have been given a trim within the past few months... Pah, fools!
I've always been lazy with my haircare, let's not even talk about the nails. Having arrived in Dubai sporting a barnet that after two days in the sun resembled orange straw and the least lovely extremities of all time, I decided I seriously needed to up my game. Particularly given that I'm a fashion editor and have a lot of boujie events to go to. Not a great look for Grazia, or for me if we're being straight up. My low mainanence-ness isn't purely due to laziness. It's also impatience, and the fact I don't have time to spend hours on end being primped and preened, something I'm sure a lot of you can relate to. Lukily for me, Tips & Toes came to the rescue.
Tips & Toes is a salon group that the style set swear by. With locations accross the Middle East, they offer boutique treatments from Gemstone Massages to Mani Pedi's so effective even my naile know look like nails. As for the hair, just wow. Within an hour my barnet had gone from shrivelled straw to deep red locks so lush I've spent the past week in a state of smugness almost unbearable for everyone else.
