How to do JLo's Oscars make-up in the back of a car: Nina Ubhi shows us how on Carpool Cosmetics

We have a strong suspicion that JLo's flawless, bronzed finish wasn't achieved one-handed in the back of a Careem in a mad dash on the way to the Oscars last week, but hey, we thought we'd have a jolly good go at doing it anyway. We grabbed one of our very favourite Dubai-based make-up artists - the equally flawless Nina Ubhi - and got her to give Olivia a backseat makeover...

Nina started by applying Charlotte Tilbury's Colour Chameleon eye pencil in Amber Haze all over Olivia's eyelid, blending it in and then adding a pop of gold from Pat McGrath's Mthrshp Subversive palette in La Vie En Rose to the centre.

Because JLo's red-carpet look is nothing without an epic glow, Nina then applied a healthy dose of Becca's Be A Light highlighter to Olivia's temples, cheekbones and nose, explaining that this is the go-to brand for golden, glowy skin. She raved about this palette in particular, saying that it contains everything you need to contour a face.

Much like JLo, Nina knows a thing or two about lashes, having launched her eponymous mink lash line only last year that has already been picked up by Harvey Nicks, Bloomingdale's and Ounass. She was donning her own - named Nina, naturally - but also explained that the Olivia style is one of their most popular. We'd expect nothing less.

She finished with a slick of Dior Addict Lip Maximizer that - helpfully - includes a touch of collagen, happens to come in a beautiful nude-pink and may or may not have made its way into Olivia's make-up bag after Carpool.

If you hadn't heard already, Carpool Cosmetics has now launched as a standalone brand (they grow up so fast! *Sob*) with its own Instagram account (@carpoolcosmetics), YouTube channel and Facebook page. Head over there asap to make sure you don't miss a thing - in the last few weeks alone they've run competitions to win oodles of products from Huda Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Beautyblender and Sephora plus the chance to win a year's worth of free blow dries. Swoon.
