The record-breaking perfume is on display in The Dubai Mall

The world’s most expensive perfume has just landed in the world’s largest mall – Dubai's pretty great, isn’t it? Shumukh, which translates to ‘deserving the highest’, was created by Spirit of Dubai Parfums by Nabeel to celebrate Dubai’s cultural heritage and capture Dubai’s persona in one monumental piece of art.

The intricate design pays tribute to the Emirate, with core elements representing pearl diving, falconry, Arabian horses and Dubai’s stature as a city of the future. The three-litre, hand-blown glass bottle is covered in 3,571 diamonds, as well as topaz and other precious stones, totalling 38.55 carats - which may be the only thing bigger than J.Lo’s engagement ring.

The intricate bottle is inspired by The Spirit of Dubai

Made with a combination of the rarest natural ingredients, including ylang-ylang and Turkish rose, the perfume is also operated by remote control, because, well, it’s 2019.

The bottle sits in it's own 1.9-metre tall case

The 1.9-metre tall perfume is on display in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue until March 30th and holds the Guinness World Record for ‘most diamonds set on a perfume bottle’. Can’t quite make the Dhs4.7 million price tag? Don’t worry, you can pick up an individual perfume too, and even enjoy complimentary engraving.
