Some would say the '90s were a prodigal time for the fashion industry (because, duh, it gave us inflatable backpacks and jelly sandals). Meanwhile, others would say the era was the physical embodiment of the words faux pas. Before you decide which category you fall into, take a look at the newest trend inspired by the bittersweet period straight from our Instagram feeds.

Two words (that maybe shouldn’t ever go together…) Jelly. Nails. Yeah, remember those jelly sandals we mentioned? Or inflatable chairs that some of us *ahem* old enough to remember begged our parents for? Yep, just like those... but for your nails. I.e. fun, colourful, and the subject of heated debates on whether they even look good or not. If anything, we’re just glad we’ve moved on from the furry nails, and if you don’t know what those are, consider yourself lucky.

For all this we have Kylie Jenner to thank, whose jelly-nail snap ignited the craze, prompting another 4,000 posts by followers and fans. We're not sure if we're ready for this particular jelly, but we're sure it's only a matter of time...
