Describe your personal style.
Casual and comfortable, while still remaining chic is very important for me. I want to look ‘put together’ even if I’m wearing sneakers and jeans.
What excites you about shopping on the high street?
There are new pieces to shop nearly every week and, of course, I love the accessible price points. If I need an outfit for a birthday party, I know I can pop into Zara and find something.
Which high street trends are hot at the moment?
Animal print, metallics and all things beige.
What do you feel the high street does really well?
Designer copies. If you can’t afford Bottega Veneta’s square-toe pumps you know you can find something similar in Zara. There’s always a high street alternative to the designer pieces that aren’t accessible to everyone.
What’s your secret to finding these high street gems?
I recently spotted a fashion It-girl (@venswifestyle) wearing a gorgeous top on Instagram. I couldn’t believe it was H&M – I bought it online 10 minutes later! My other secret is to buy when I’m travelling to Europe. They usually have a totally different selection to the Middle East that feels a little more elevated and polished.
Is there anything you would never shop on the high street?
Generally, I don’t buy shoes and bags from the high street because I like to have good quality accessories that will last me a long time. I also try not to buy something I know I won’t wear again – sustainability is key.
