In time for the holidays, Fenty has just released a new collection and the campaign gives us a glimpse of how you can play with the contrast of softness and strength.
In the campaign we see a model dressed in a slip dress, stiletto boots and a fluffy coat, with her giving off an expression that we all can relate to while waiting for our Uber to take us into our evening plans.
The collection which is called R11-19:City Bloom and inspired by powerful women, revolves around three statement outerwear pieces, timely for the minimal drop in temperature, and includes an oversize white wool-blend parka and a cream shearling biker jacket.
It’s all in the presentation though, and the tough exterior layered with the feminine slip dresses and skirts in a tonal palette of matcha, rose, and creams is the perfect play on the idea of softness versus strenth.
The campaign which was shot by Japanese photographer Katsu Naitom, perfectly captures the essence of the collection which is about contrasts, and as with each Fenty drop, the brand imagery continues to explore the idea of inclusivity in the most unexpected - and needed - way.
