Another day, another Covid-19 cancellation - this time it's Giorgio Armani who has postponed his Cruise show in Dubai slated for 19 April. “The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in order to protect all the industry stakeholders, employees and guests who would be involved in the trip," the Italian brand explained in a statement.
This comes as no surprise after Mr Armani made the unprecedented move of streaming his AW20 show from an empty theatre due to the spread of Coronavirus within Italy.
Mr Armani is not alone in putting plans to show Cruise collections on hold and joins Gucci, Prada, and Versace in rethinking this decision.
A catwalk show - in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Armani Hotel and the opening of the new boutique at The Dubai Mall - will now take place in November to coincide with Expo 2020 Dubai.
