Got $70,000 to spend on trainers? Walk this way

Revered auction house Sotheby's has made an unlikely link-up with sneaker sourcer extraordinaires Stadium Goods to sell off some of the world's rarest trainers.

Among them is the break-out stars of the second installment of the Back To The Future trilogy, the Nike Mag - Marty McFly's famous self-lacing trainers worn by Michael J. Fox in the 1989 film set presenting a futuristic vision of 2015. Two pairs of Nike Mags are up for auction, the most expensive of which is expected to reach $70,000, and current bidding is already at $40,000.

Other trainers up for grabs include an adidas x Pharrell collaboration and an Off-White x Nike hook-up.

Bidding closes on 23 July, browse the lots here, then wave bye bye to your pay cheque.
