There's breaking the internet, and there's causing such a frenzy that it inspires Google to invent an image search facility. When Jennifer Lopez stepped onto the Grammy red carpet in 2000, her Versace jungle dress, Google Images didn't exist. Fast forward to Spring/Summer 2020, Google wasn't about to get caught off-guard again. In fact, in a genius fashion and tech collaboration, Versace partnered with Google for the 20th anniversary of the iconic Jungle print, complete with J-Lo herself closing the show in an even more eye-watering version of the original.
Dontella Versace exclaims, “It was amazing! The world had the same reaction: jaw dropping. Today we live in a technological world, but back then, one event prompted the creation of a new tool that now has become part of our lives.”
Spare a thought for J-Lo's Grammy-night date, P. Diddy, whose ill-fitting beige suit didn't even merit a mention.
