Rihanna’s highly anticipated fashion label Fenty has been creating buzz for all the right reasons - one being that it is commited to embracing diversity and all body shapes. Another reason behind the applause is appointing Naomi Janumala as the face of the campaign, taking yet another step towards inclusivity in fashion. So, who is Naomi?
The India-born model is ninteen years old, and, while she may have only started her modelling career three years ago when she was discovered on Instagram, she's gone on to be featured in campaigns for Alexander Wang, H&M and Adidas and even walked in New York Fashion Week. A creative spirit, Naomi would choose a career in photography or interior design if she wasn't a model.
As some of the pieces from Rihanna's latest 6-19 collection were inspired by Indian traditional garments and prints, Naomi was thrilled to be a part of the campaign. Who wouldn't be?
We're excited to see more diverse models fronting campaigns in the fashion industry, and we can't wait to see what Naomi does next.
