Meet your new haute-couture home in Dubai

Not content with creating the world’s most glamorous gowns, iconic Lebanese designer Elie Saab is setting his sights on inspiring our interiors, too
Meet your new haute-couture home in Dubai

What do you give the emirate that has everything? Well, in addition to the tallest building in the world, we can now add Elie Saab’s first couture residence to our dazzling property portfolio. Situated on Emaar Beachfront, in Dubai Marina, Grand Bleu Tower is slated for completion in 2022.

You can choose from one- to four-bedroom apartments boasting views of The Palm, currently available to buy offplan with prices starting from approximately Dhs1.6 million for 73sqm to 92sqm, up to Dhs6.7 million for 251sqm to 279sqm.

According to Mohamed Alabbar, Founder and Chairman of Emaar, “Elie Saab is the pride of the Arab world, and a fascinating international success story. Through our first association with Elie Saab, admired by the world’s leading celebrities, we are offering discerning customers a new lifestyle address. Every aspect of these glamorous residences is personally designed by Elie Saab,” he promises.

Saab was inspired by the graphic lines and glittering accents of Miami’s Art Deco district in South Beach for the overall design

Explaining the move into interior design, he reveals, “Over the years, the label has evolved into a lifestyle brand.” He says he’s confident that the expansion into home and interiors will be a success. Saab’s dominance can be seen from The White House to the red carpet, with some of our favourite female celebrities – everyone from Michelle Obama and Beyoncé to Emma Stone and Julia Roberts – regularly being spotted in gowns by the Lebanese couturier.

If that wasn’t enough, Saab’s star power was sealed when he became the first designer to receive a Dubai Star at the city’s equivalent of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, in Downtown Dubai. If being showered with accolades wasn’t enough, Saab was at Dubai Opera for a star-studded gala to celebrate his new partnership with Emaar, which saw international and local celebrities, influencers and members of high society jet into town for the party.

Local stars, including Dubai based TV host Diala Makki and influencer Ola Farahat, attended the black-tie event with a live band and catwalk performance to entertain guests during an exclusive private dinner. Indeed, judging by Saab’s starpulling power, no doubt we’ll see a few more famous faces in Dubai at the new residence.
