Nike may be known for instantly iconic sneakers worn by record-breaking athletes and the coolest creatives, but they’re now designing sneakers for the everyday heroes we often take for granted.
Created specifically for medical professionals, the Nike Air Zoom Pulse is designed to meet the wide variety of challenges hospital staff face. The laceless style means they’re easy to pull on and off, while the elastic heel strap means you can pull them on with one hand and they’ll stay put.
To ensure no slips (or slip-ups), the sneakers come with extra traction to counter often-slippery hospital floors and are easy to clean thanks to a water-proof PU-coated upper. The sneakers are boosted with the Zoom Air heel typically used in high-performing athletic shoes, and feature cushioning to keep medical staff comfortable throughout their 12-hour shift – during which they walk an average of five miles and sit for one hour.
The Nike Air Zoom Pulse hits stores December 7.
