Pinko promise: how the brand is turning 1 T-shirt into 10,000 trees
Bringing whole new meaning to the term 'going green'

There’s a real collective eco-conscious effort taking place right now, and in light of our #GoGreenWithGrazia campaign, we are totally raising a flag for fashion brand Pinko’s environmental initiative.

In collaboration with Treedom, an online platform that allows users to plant a tree with the click of a mouse and watch it grow online, the #StartWithATree T-shirt campaign is an invitation to go green, with the hopes to grow the brand’s own ‘Pinko Forest’ in Kenya, boasting 10,000 mango, banana, macadamia, African cherry and (an Instagram favourite) avocado trees. So far, so in-tree-guing. Sorry.

And it doesn’t stop there. Pinko has paired this eco effort with exclusive T-shirts made of organic cotton, with eco-friendly packaging, and iconic slogans, available both in-store and online. Who’d have thought so much could be achieved while lounging on the sofa, card at hand, with perfectly manicured nails?

Pinko’s founder Pietro Negra says, "This initiative is only the first step of a long path Pinko will make to build a strong set of social values which are extremely relevant for the younger generations. They are definitely more and more environmentally conscious and we have the responsibility to support their dream of a world resurrected from its present terrible state."

It’s safe to say we think these T-shirts could achieve grapeness. Head over to Pinko to get yours, if you haven’t botany yet.
