You may not have heard of Pyer Moss - the NY brand fast becoming known as fashion's new disruptive voice. However that's about to change thanks to Creative Director Kerby Jean-Raymond taking the lead among his peers in an astonishing act of philanthopy and compassion as measures to reduce the spread of Coronavirus force New York to its knees.
Shocked by the shortages of protective equipment that's putting healthcare professionals - including his sister - at risk of exposure to Covid-19, Kerby Jean-Raymond has come up with a series of what he calls "imperfect solutions". As well as setting aside US$5,000 to purchase medical supplies, he's turning Pyer Moss HQ into a donation centre for N95 masks and gloves.
And in response to the economic threat of the lockdown, Pyer Moss is creating a US$50,000 fun for minority and female-owned small creative businesses "who are currently in distress." In an Instagram post, he explained, "If you cannot make payrool, or cannot cover pressing costs to keep your business afloat, please reach out and let us know what you do and how we can help."

Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, it's your move.
