As any denim lover knows, the search for the perfect pair of jeans is a never-ending quest, but that doesn't mean your shopping odyssey has to be unsustainable.
Part of Global Recycling Day, which takes place in March, American Eagle is introducing an initiative to recycle your jeans, meaning shopping salvation is attainable.
Literally, all you need to do is take your old jeans to your local participating American Eagle store in Dubai, and the brand will take care of the rest. Once your jeans are dropped off, they will take to remanufacture them into new fabric, or recycle them to be used for industrial use. Does it have to be old American Eagle jeans, you ask? No, not at all. Feel free to grab any brand of jean which no longer serves you. The label isn’t a factor when it comes to upcycling.
The best bit? Doing your bit for the environment comes with benefits. When you take your used denim to store, American Eagle will give you Dhs60 off any pair of brand new American Eagle jeans. The even better best bit? By doing this, the program helps to lift the massive influx of textiles arriving to landfills by upcyling your old jeans into new fabrics instead. Now, that’s what we call perfect denim.
Participating American Eagle stores: The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdiff, Deira City Center & Ibn Batutta.
