It’s officially Coronavirus: 2, Fashion: 0. First Giorgio Armani made the decision to livestream its Milan Fashion Week show amid concerns about the virus, and now Seoul Fashion Week has been cancelled entirely.
Originally scheduled to take place from March 17 to 21, Seoul Metropolitan Government officials cancelled the event due to over 800 cases of the virus now being reported in the country. Officials reassured the thirty-six designers that they would still get the chance to show their designs, in both alternative international design fairs and at the Spring/Summer 2021 Seoul Fashion Week show (which will go on as normal in October). Only time will tell.
