Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, son of the Ruler of Sharjah, tragically passed away in July and left behind his popular London-based menswear label Qasimi. The designer’s twin sister Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi will be taking over the label and all creative and business responsibilities, with the aim of continuing Khalid’s legacy and to keep his vision alive. Khalid launched Qasimi in 2008 and carried the brand from strength to strength, using his designs to discuss politics and express himself and his Middle Eastern roots in a way that quickly caught the fashion world’s eye.

His sister Sheikha Hoor is the president and director of the Sharjah Art Foundation and is credited as being the life behind the Sharjah art scene, while also serving on the board of multiple museums worldwide. Sheikha Hoor will present her brother’s final collection during Men’s London Fashion Week in January next year before presenting her own collection in June.
