In a game of metamorphosis, 11 artists have completely reimagined the timeless Lady Dior bag in the fourth edition of Dior Lady Art.

Like the woman who wears it, the classic piece continues to reinvent, reimagine and reassert itself as an emblem of beauty: inherently refined, self-assured and with a transgenerational attitude.

Grazia Middle East travelled to India in pursuit of this year’s most visionary masterpieces.

This so-called ‘cabinet of curiosities’ slowly reveals itself and all its glorious intricacies, including organic and naturally occurring materials such as hand-painted feathers, seashells and embroidered foliage. A soft colourway of navy, pastel and sky-blue creates the backdrop, while vivacious pink, purple and orange burst out like lightning.

The Indian-American sculptor uses her oeuvre to create a dialogue that connects human culture with nature. Pristine embroidery represents the rivers of the world while a carved wood handle completes the piece. Its message? One of universal peace and respect for nature’s raw materials.
