At Grazia, we've watched the modest revolution grow, championed it, shouted about it and tried to encourage as many conversations about it as possible. So it is with great pride - and a little air punch - that we announce our partnership with the Islamic Fashion Design Council's Pret-a-Cover Buyer's Lane; the game-changing modest fashion and design festival taking place at City Walk in Dubai from 28 March until 2 April.
The six-day event will showcase modest collections of over 30 international designers - read our edit of the top 10 to look out for here - as well as partnerships with industry players including regional heavyweights such as Bloomingdale's-Dubai, Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols-Dubai, Galleries Lafayette, BHV, Debenhams, Comptoir 102, and The Modist.
"Grazia has been a key player in supporting fashion, beauty and lifestyle in the region," says Alia Khan, Chairwoman of IFDC and producer of PACBL. "This partnership will fuel IFDC’s mandate to build the modest fashion and design platform and catapult this niche sector to new heights we know are possible given the remarkable spending power of this consumer group.”
Grazia will also be curating a modest shop featuring pieces you can buy from PACBL's presenting brands, going live tomorrow. “The modesty movement is the most exciting shift the fashion world has seen in recent years, and it’s incredible for Grazia Middle East to play a part in such a defining moment for the region," explains Grazia Editor in Chief, Alison Tay. "The timing of our partnership with Pret-A-Cover Buyers Lane couldn’t be more perfect as the launch of our smart, stylish and shoppable site means we can amplify the modesty message throughout the GCC and beyond.”
The Grazia girls will see you there!
