This is what your next night out could look like

Micrashell allows the user to see clearly through a protective shield, breathe safely through a filtration system

Over the past few weeks, people have been coming up with new and creative ways to enjoy their Friday nights at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, for those who miss the dance floor and spending time surrounded by friends, an American company has created a PPE suit particularly for going to a club.

Designed by LA-based creative studio Production Club, the Micrashell suit permits you to “safely socialise in times of a pandemic”.

The innovative hazmat-style suit is made out of high-performance, cut-resistant fabric and fitted with PPE equipment such as a virus-shield and an air filter and breathing system. Additionally, a wireless voice communication device and speakers are built into the suit, permitting you to decide the volume of the sounds around you. Micrashell will allow you to breath safely, drink, and even charge your phone throughout a protective shield.

“Social distancing measures have been introduced by the authorities as a way of slowing down the spread of the disease. However – beyond the obvious benefits of this action – there are certain drawbacks that make it only viable for a limited period of time, like its toll on mental health or its impact on the economy,” explained Production Club.

The suit is still in its early stages of development, yet, we may be seeing you at the club dancing sooner than you thought.
