For High Summer’19 Beulah has collaborated with Australian born photographer, model and Vogue editor Candice Lake, in creating a limited edition capsule collection.
Sandwashed silks, soft cottons and linens create a collection that is light weight whilst bold, a spicy palette infused with a touch of exotic essence. Inspired by Candice’s Australian heritage and love for travelling; the collection is blended with beautiful motifs, hand printed stripes, chevrons and rich garden florals.
Each piece from the collection has been carefully manufactured by artisans in India and Bangladesh, incorporating highly skilled hand crafted techniques such as hand weaving and embroidery. A selection of styles from the capsule collection is directly impacting small charities and community groups working with vulnerable and trafficked women in India. These charity partners offer fair wages and teach the women employable skills to provide them and their families with a sustainable livelihood.
Beulah was founded on a vision to empower women, bringing freedom through employment to vulnerable, at risk or trafficked women. "Knowledge is key – we are passionate about not only helping our customer to look and feel beautiful, but also educating her on the issues of modern slavery, giving her the tools she needs to be an agent of change. We want to create a movement that goes beyond just the brand itself and forms a community of people with shared passions and values. We see a world where freedom is expected and slavery no longer exists."
