We’re not surprised this influencer favourite is the breakout brand of the year

When British designer Daniel Lee took over the helm at Bottega Veneta in June 2018, the Italian brand suddenly became the name on everyone’s lips as fashion insiders, celebrities and all the top influencers clamoured to get their hands on his covetable accessories.

From the quilted leather mules to the strappy heeled sandals to the new It-bag, The Pouch, the demand for Lee’s designs increased by 53% this year, and climbed 21 places in The Lyst Index Q3 hottest brands ranking, entering the top 20 for the first time ever.

The brand even has its own fan-account – @newbottega – where Italian fashion student Laura Rossi curates images of people wearing the brand. The account has 138,000 followers and counting.

So if you’re thinking about treating yourself to a festive season splurge and are trying to decide on the brand you want to go for, Bottega is a pretty safe bet for this season, the next and beyond.

And thanks to its minimalistic aesthetic, we have a feeling its pieces will become the new classics before long.
