Even though Zac Posen showed during fashion week just two months ago, his beloved label is closing up shop – and the collection we saw won’t even be shipped to stores. The brand unfortunately couldn’t find a buyer or investor when a long-time stakeholder pulled out, and so the immediate closure of House of Z and Z Spoke was a consequence of a board vote.
The designer took to Instagram to thank his team for their commitment throughout the twenty years of business, saying “I want to express my appreciation to our extraordinary team… I remain incredibly proud of what we created and hopeful for the future”.

I want to express my appreciation to our extraordinary team and for all those who have stood by me and the brand. I owe a great deal of gratitude for their unwavering support for and dedication to the Company. I am grateful to the team who lent their incomparable talent and commitment along the way. I remain incredibly proud of what we created and hopeful for the future. Love ZP
Since launching his label in 2001, Zac’s designs consistently graced red carpets worldwide – and made appearances at The White House - thanks to his combination of glamour and innovation. The tiny silver lining in a devastating situation is that Zac will still remain creative director of Brooks Brothers Women’s, so we’ll still be able to enjoy his designs.
