We've always idly wondered about the possibility that one day, Dubai might come up with an even bigger mall or an even taller tower. Would that even be possible? Er... turns out that it is indeed.
If you're not currently satisfied with the world’s largest mall on your doorstep, then you can thank developers Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding for unveiling a new 8 million square foot retail space split over three levels and featuring a water park and an art district. Gird your loins for Dubai Square in Dubai Creek Harbour - set to be connected to Dubai Creek Tower; the upcoming new tallest tower in the city.
Part-indoor, part-outdoor, the behemoth will feature boulevards, piazzas, avenue and squares and be underpinned by technology in the form of apps, click'n'collect shopping and - dare we say it - drone delivery if the promo video is anything to go by. It will also be home to the region's largest Chinatown. Epic doesn't even begin to cover it...
